Project Description : Remote eye testing is a method of performing a primary eye test by the specialist optometrist at a remote location and the person being tested at another location (Titan Eye+ store) using video conferencing and it technology. It is the first of its kind in the world. a spectacle prescription is obligatory to take a spectacle order and it is not possible without the qualified personnel to generate the prescription. In our current stores, 55 to 60% of business is generated through in-house prescriptions. If the store does not have an optometrist on a given day, there is an obvious loss of business. Secondly, as there is a dearth of qualified eye testing personnel in the country, this becomes an impediment for increasing the number of stores. Remote eye testing helps in optimum utilization of existing optometrists to be able to perform eye tests at multiple stores by being present.
