The Titan Innovation Bazaar is an attempt to encourage innovative Titanians across all Divisions to showcase their innovations to fellow Titanians, to our Senior Management and to an eminent Jury. And to win recognition and awards. It is an ideal platform for all Titanians to see & learn what is happening innovatively across all functions at Titan Industries.
The Innovation Council conducted the 2nd Innovation Bazaar on 21st and 22nd January 2013 at Hotel Ramee Guestline, Attibele where not only did Titanians across all divisions showcased innovations carried out during the last two years but there were also five Tata companies, Tata Chemicals, Tata Motors, Tata Elxsi, TCS & Indian Hotels who participated in the event.
The Innovation Bazaar was inaugurated by our MD, Mr. Bhaskar Bhat. This was followed by the introduction of an eminent panel of jury comprising of Prof (Dr). K. Balakrishnan - Director, IBS Business School, Mr. Vinay Dabolkar - President, Catalign Innovation Consulting, Mr. Kovai Selvan – Vice President (HR), TVS Motor Ltd, Mr. Ashok Hattangadi - Technical Director and Director, Schneider Electric Conzerv India Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Nick Talbolt – Global Design Head, Tata Elxsi and Mr. Rajiv Narang – Chairman & Managing Director, Erehwon Consulting Pvt .Ltd. The Jury members spent an entire day in engaging with the participants at their respective stalls and evaluating the entries. The ribbon cutting was followed by the delivery of a short talk on Innovation by Mr. R. Gopalakrishnan through a 3D holographic projection. Other highlights of the innovation bazaar included a walking robot and the Innovation theatre. In addition to display of new innovative products, there was also stalls depicting newly inaugurated Innovation Centre at Hosur as well as the Innovation Hub at IIT-Chennai
There were a total of 80 stalls including 5 of other Tata Companies depicting projects across manufacturing, design, services, marketing, retails, projects and CSR. The Innovation bazaar was visited by over 3500 employees and by 30 Tata Employees, who were awe struck by the sheer magnitude of the bazaar coming again after a period of two years .
